平平安安开开心心

“平平安安开开心心”是由我们一家4个人的名字各取一字或谐音组成的。我今天50了。人生过得好快啊。盼着赶紧长到18岁的感觉还依稀记得，怎么就50了。和女儿同时过生日真好。原来说好啥活动都不搞的，结果上个周末太太和家人给我办了个surprise birthday party。

"Ping ping an an kai kai xin xin" (peace, safety, joy and happiness) is made up of one character, or a homophone of one, from the names of each of the four of us in our family.

I'm 50 today.

Life goes by so fast. I can still vaguely remember longing to hurry up and turn 18; how did I get to 50?

It's really nice to share a birthday with my daughter.

We'd agreed not to hold any kind of event, but last weekend my wife and family threw me a surprise birthday party.

While I was out playing a round of golf, nearly 100 neighbors, adults and kids, came to our house.

Ha, when I got home I really got a huge fright.

With a party this big, how did I not notice a thing beforehand?

The preparations can't have been easy; my heart still feels warm now.

Life is beautiful!
